Nhamo was born and raised in Zimbabwe. Interested in the "consumption" of ideology and the ways in which power and identity are mediated through text, she draws on her own evolving experience of citizenship to explore the inextricable ties between national narratives and global trajectories. As both agent of and partaker in the work, Lucia aims to challenge her own complicity and prompt a greater level of self-realization for those who experience her work.
